WARNING SIRENS

Questions have been raised as to why the Village's warning sirens were not activated for the recent tornado near Haven in Sheboygan County, a few miles south of the Village.
This was a very fast-moving storm event.  Our most recent information indicates the tornado was spotted by a Sheboygan County Sheriff's Deputy, who immediately reported it to the dispatch center in Sheboygan County.  The tornado was over Lake Michigan before Manitowoc County Emergency Services could activate our sirens.

Our residents can be assured the sirens are fully operational.
